Street and Smith's "Alger Series"
By Various authors

This listing of the "Alger series" of dime novels published by Street and Smith was reconstructed from WorldCat library holdings. The series consists of reprints of decades-old books by Horatio Alger, Oliver Optic, Edward Stratemeyer, and others. The titles and series numbers are accurate, but the dates are not necessarily the books' printing date within this series -- the dates are those listed in the WorldCat records, presumably taken from the books themselves, and in some cases they seem to indicate copyright dates; in others,  printing dates.. The series was published between 1915/1916 and 1927.

Syracuse University's collection of Alger series cover art is online at <http://libwww.syr.edu/digital/images/s/StreetAndSmith/AlgerSeries/>.
