College sports stories.

"Yank" Brown enrolls in the college where his father, some forty years previous, was a legendary football player and attempts to make his own name in college sports. The first five books all take place during Yank's freshman year at Belmont College. Oddly, Yank starts his college career as a boy named "Arthur" belonging to the class of '24; by the end of his freshman year, his name is "Frank" and he's part of the class of '25.

Four of the books were republished together by Grosset and Dunlap in their "4 in One" omnibus format  -- the four books (IIRC) were "Halfback", "Honor Man", "Forward", and "Pitcher".
