THE TIPPY PARRISH SERIES
By Janet Lambert

Notes

Titles

Lambert wrote many series;  in a way, they could be considered all one large series, since the books tell the stories of the members of a large and complicated family-by-blood-and-marriage. Characters from one series pop up regularly in others...
  1. MISS TIPPY -- "When Penny's sister ceases to be a headstrong, teasing, little flitterfly, says the Parrish's family cook, she will be called 'Miss Tippy.'" -- 1948, 1953, Dutton; 1948,  Grosset & Dunlap.
  2. MISS AMERICA -- 1951, 1956, Dutton; 1951, Grosset & Dunlap.

  3. LITTLE MISS ATLAS -- 1949, Dutton; 1949, Grosset & Dunlap.

  4. DON'T CRY, LITTLE GIRL -- 1953, Dutton; 1952, Grosset & Dunlap.
  5. RAINBOW AFTER RAIN -- 1957, Dutton; 1962, Grosset & Dunlap.
  6. WELCOME HOME, MRS. JORDAN -- 1953, Dutton.
  7. SONG IN THEIR HEARTS -- 1956, Dutton.
  8. HERE'S MARNY -- "When Major and Tippy Jordon become foster parents to their orphaned baby sitter, the fifteen-year-old girl learns for the first time what having a family and being a teen-ager should really be like." -- 1969, Dutton.
